MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) – On Friday morning, the forces of the Manbij Military Council, in northern Syria, thwarted an infiltration attempt by the Turkish-backed armed Syrian factions into the northern countryside of Manbij.
The media center of the Manbij Military Council announced, through the council’s official website, that it thwarted an infiltration attempt by Turkish-backed factions throughout Arab Hassan village, north of Manbij.
the infiltration attempt began in the early hours of the morning under the cover of shelling and heavy bullets on the villages of al-Tokhar and al-Mohsenly, according to military source of Manbij Military Council.
The Military Council indicated that the shelling came from the Turkish bases in the village of Qiratah north of Manbij.
No casualties were reported on both sides.
On Thursday evening, Turkish forces targeted the village of Umm Adasa, north of Manbij, with several mortar shells.
