SDF arrest ISIS militants in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Sunday, Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) arrested two militants of the Islamic State (ISIS) in a town east Deir ez-Zor, east Syria.
During a security campaign against ISIS sleeper cells, the SDF stormed a house near Street 16 near the railway, where ISIS militants were hiding, a military source from the town of al-Sabha, 30 kilometers east Deir ez-Zor, told North Press.
The SDF managed to arrest two ISIS militants and confiscated the weapons they had, the source added.
Every now and then, SDF launches security campaigns in the villages of Deir ez-Zor against ISIS sleeper cells.
On July 25, SDF arrested an ISIS notable leader in the town of al-Zer, east Deir ez-Zor.
