AIN ISSA, Syria (North Press) – Turkish forces and their affiliated armed opposition groups bombed the vicinity of Ain Issa town, north of Raqqa, and the M4 Highway on Satuday – Sunday night, with no casualties reported.
Military sources told North Press that the bombing began at 2:00 AM Sunday and lasted for two hours.
Bombardments were carried out on the Ain Issa silos, Nakhil rest stop, and the M4 Highway, 3 km northeast of Ain Issa, and no casualties were reported, according to sources.
The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) responded to an infiltration attempt by Turkish-backed armed opposition groups north of Ain Issa on Friday night.
Syria’s Ain Issa has witnessed tentative calm since the beginning of 2021, and it was accompanied by the return of some of the town’s residents who fled in December due to Turkish aggression there.
