Russian aircrafts target opposition sites in Syria’s de-escalation zone
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – Russian warplane conducted on Monday, air raids on the Syrian opposition sites in Idlib, northwestern Syria within the de-escalation zone, without casualties reported.
The Russian warplanes targeted with vacuum missiles, on the outskirts of Sheikh Baher, Ahrash, and Kfar Jales, which are under the control of the opposition group, west Idlib.
The shelling coincided with the flights of Russian drones over the area, the source added.
The de-escalation zone has been witnessing mutual shelling between the government forces and the opposition groups for months, in addition to evacuating several Turkish military posts.
Besides, the government forces artillery shelled opposition sites in the town of Zeyarah in Ghab Plain, in the western countryside of Hama.
Meanwhile, the government forces targeted from its checkpoints on the outskirts of Teqad, in the western countryside of Aleppo, the opposition points and headquarters in the town.
The Russian-Turkish signed agreement in 2017 and its additional protocol in March 2020 provide to halt the military actions in the governorate of Idlib and its surroundings.
