Suspected Israeli strike kills 2 people in Syria’s Quneitra
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Syrian state media reported on Thursday that an Israeli drone strike killed two individuals in Quneitra Governorate in southern Syria.
According to Syria’s state-run news agency, SANA, two citizens were killed in the drone strike near the town of Khan Arnabah on the road between Damascus and Quneitra.
“Two citizens were martyred in an Israeli drone aggression that targeted a civilian car with a missile at the eastern entrance of Khan Arnabeh town on Damascus-Quneitra highway,” SANA said.
Moreover, the Israeli military targeted the village of Rafid in the south of Quneitra, using artillery shells, resulting the injury of one person, SANA added.
This attack occurred following Israeli strikes that killed 18 people and injured more than 37 others in Hama in central Syria on Sep. 8, as reported by Syrian authorities.
The Israeli military did not comment on the attacks.
Since the start of Syrian war in 2011, Israel has conducted many military strikes in Syria, mainly on posts of the Syrian government forces and Iranian-backed militias, including the Lebanese Hezbollah.
