Turkish drone strike kills woman, son in Syria’s Qamishli

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – A Turkish drone strike targeted on Wednesday a car in the city of Qamishli in northeastern Syria.

A security source told North Press a Turkish drone targeted a car near the Heart and Eye Hospital in the Antariye neighborhood.

The source added that a woman and her son were killed in the attack.

The Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) have not commented on the attack yet.

On Aug. 22, a drone, likely to be Turkish, targeted the building of the Asayish in Qamishli.

On Aug. 19, a Turkish drone strike targeted the Heart and Eye Hospital in the city, resulting in the killing and the injury of a number of civilians.

Following the attack, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) stated Turkish escalation is pushing the region towards an “open war.”
