Turkish drone strike targets oil station in Syria’s Qamishli

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – A Turkish drone strike targeted on Friday an oil station in the countryside of Qamishli in Northeast Syria causing the destruction of parts of it.

The Turkish drone strike hit the Saeeda oil station in the town of Tirbe Spiyeh (al-Qahtaniya), 20 km east to the city of Qamishli.

North Press correspondent said the drone strike caused the destruction of parts of the station that is considered the second largest station in Hasakah Governorate.

In January, Turkey carried out drone strikes on areas adjacent to its border in northern and northeastern Syria, targeting infrastructure facilities and properties of residents. These strikes have resulted in civilian and military casualties in addition to power outage to about 200 villages and cities in the region.
