Mazloum Abdi says 3 parties attack NE Syria

RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – Commander in Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), Mazloum Abdi, said on Wednesday Northeast Syria faces multiple challenges and is targeted by three parties.

Abdi’s statement came in a pre-recorded speech screened during the fourth conference of the Future Syria Party held in the city of Raqqa, northern Syria.

Abdi said Northeast Syria faces increasing and serious challenges, including the Islamic State (ISIS), which still poses a threat to the region and possess the grounds to persist and resurge once again.

Additionally, Turkey targets infrastructure and service facilities to destabilize the region and force the population to immigrate abroad, not to mention that the “Turkish occupation” in Syria continues, Abdi pointed out.

The SDF commander in Chief highlighted attempts by the Syrian government and its allies to destabilize the region and create insecurity by causing discord among the different peoples of the community.

Abdi urged members of the Future Syria Party to work and push efforts to organize the community to be able to overcome the challenges that face the region.

The Future Syria Party, founded on March 27, 2018, in Raqqa, believes in a democratic, pluralistic, and decentralized Syria, the consolidation of the project of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES), and the enhancement of the SDF.
