Local committee in northeast Syria calls on stopping Turkish escalation  

HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – A local committee on children’s affairs in Hasakah Governorate, northeastern Syria, demanded on Wednesday stopping Turkish target of children in northeastern Syria.   

The Sheleir Children committee is a local organization works on children’s affairs in the cities of northeastern Syria.  

The committee said that the targeting children in northeastern Syria takes place daily and in the sight of the international community, which has not moved.

This came during a statement released by the committee in Sere Kaniye camp, east of Hasakah, on the background of the Turkish drone strike that targeted a car in al-Sinaa neighborhood (industrial zone) in the city of Qamishli and resulted in the killing of two children from one family.  

The committee demanded “stop killing children” and “bring the conflicts of the region to an end.”

The committee noted to the Turkish shelling of Tel Rifaat in the northern countryside of Aleppo (Shahba region) which resulted in the injury of six children, and the shelling of the same place two years ago which resulted in the killing of six children.
